Johnny Depp has called on the billionaire to reveal all of his communications with his ex-wife during the defamation trial.
One of the most surprising people called to testify in the defamation trial for Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is the CEO of Tesla Elon Musk. Elon is expected to testify via video call during the trial, via court documents. The SpaceX founder was ordered to turn over all communications he had with Amber about her ex-husband, as well as all messages from various points in their alleged relationship. Many texts should be read and distributed following the trial. Find out all the details about why Elon is called to testify here.
What do the court documents say?
Allegations in court documents claim that Elon and Amber began their relationship a month after she married Johnny. “Only one calendar month after Mr. Depp and Ms. Heard got married – while Mr. Depp was out of the country filming in March 2015 – staff at the East Colombia building testified that Ms. Heard had received Musk “late at night” at Mr. Depp’s house. penthouse,” the lawsuit states. The lawsuit goes on to claim that Amber instructed building staff to give Elon access to the parking lot as well as the penthouse elevator.
The supposed visits come close to a much more serious alleged incident documented in the documents, which is perhaps why Elon is being called to testify. “Musk’s first appearance in Mr. Depp’s penthouse came shortly after Ms. Heard threw a bottle of vodka at Mr. Depp in Australia, when she learned that Mr. Depp wanted the couple to conclude a post-nuptial agreement regarding their marriage assets. Ms. Heard’s violently aimed projectile nearly severed Mr. Depp’s middle finger on his right hand and shattered the bones,” the document claims.
The documents don’t provide more context on what the line of questioning will be for the Tesla founder. While it’s unclear what exactly Elon will be questioned about at the upcoming trial, it’s possible that the incident described in the documents could return. Lawyers can also request more details about past questions about their relationship that were put to Amber during the first trial.
