A major hailstorm was recorded overnight from Monday to Tuesday in Arkansas, in the southern United States. Some hailstones are the size of tennis balls.
Weather disturbances continue to punctuate the lives of Americans. After a series of tornadoes in Texas and Louisiana a few weeks ago, the state of Arkansas, in the southern United States, was also hit last night by a “large and very dangerous” tornado, report our colleagues from CNN.
An alert has been issued for the Little Rock area, and authorities and the Weather Channel have called on residents to seek refuge as soon as possible.
The images of the tornado, shared by several Internet users on social networks and relayed by the American media, are impressive.
More precipitation in the coming days?
In addition to a tornado, Arkansas was also hit by a major hailstorm. And there too, the images are striking, some hailstones having a size equivalent to that of a tennis ball.
According to the American Weather Channel, this weather event in the southern United States is expected to last several days.
